FAQs
Why is a face-to-face consultation required before any cosmetic treatment?
Australian regulations set by the TGA and AHPRA require a mandatory face-to-face consultation prior to any cosmetic medical treatment. This ensures your practitioner can properly assess your medical history, suitability, goals, and provide personalised, informed advice in a safe and ethical manner.
Can I receive treatment without attending an in-person consultation first?
No. Cosmetic treatments cannot be performed without a prior face-to-face consultation. This consultation is essential to ensure patient safety, informed consent, and compliance with medical regulations. We can however perform a consultation and treatment within the same appointment.
Why can’t pricing or treatment quotes be provided online or over the phone?
Pricing and treatment plans are individual and must be determined during a face-to-face consultation. Regulations do not allow clinics to provide personalised quotes without first assessing your needs, suitability, and medical considerations in person.
When will I be given pricing information for cosmetic treatments?
All pricing details are discussed during your consultation once a personalised treatment plan has been established. This ensures transparency, accuracy, and compliance with medical guidelines.
Do cosmetic treatments require a prescription?
Yes. All cosmetic procedures involving Schedule 4 medications require a valid prescription issued by a qualified medical practitioner, in accordance with Australian regulations.
Why doesn’t the clinic disclose specific product or brand names prior to consultation?
To comply with advertising and medical regulations, clinics are unable to disclose specific prescription product or brand names outside of a consultation. This prevents misinformation and ensures treatments are discussed in a medically appropriate context.
Will I be informed about the products used during my appointment?
Yes. All products used will be fully explained during your consultation and appointment, including their purpose, benefits, and any associated risks, allowing you to make an informed decision.
How is my prescription arranged?
Prescriptions are arranged during your appointment through the Fresh Clinics platform, following a thorough consultation and medical assessment by an authorised practitioner.
What is the Fresh Clinics platform?
Fresh Clinics is a secure medical platform used to manage consultations, prescriptions, and compliance documentation. It ensures all treatments meet current medical and regulatory standards.
Is a new prescription required for each treatment?
Yes. A current prescription is required for each cosmetic treatment to ensure ongoing safety, suitability, and compliance with medical guidelines.
